Horse food muesli

Muesli unvarnished 1
Go to the recipe

Known around here as horse food, and elsewhere as naked muesli, probably it would be better in polite company to call this undressed or unvarnished muesli: it is essentially an uncooked mixture of grains, fruits and nuts that is eaten cold with milk.  Puffed grains are a bit friendlier to chewing, so I save the rolled oats and such for making honey toasted muesli.

In this recipe there are also photos of some of the ingredients to help you ID the unfamiliar items.  Anytime you need more information on an ingredient, do just let me know.
